From Grandpa’s Dream to My Destiny: My NEET Journey with Aakash
By GODDELAGALA BALAJI – NEET 2025 Aspirant | Rank: 75542 | Category Rank: 35000
A Dream That Started with My Grandpa’s Last Breath
Every dream has a beginning. Mine began not
with ambition, but with love. In his final moments, my grandfather whispered
just one wish—to see me become a doctor. That dream became my father’s mission,
and eventually... my own.
But unlike most NEET stories you hear, I wasn’t a topper from a corporate
school or a student trained since childhood. I was just an average boy, from a
local school, dreaming without knowing how to make that dream come true.
“What Is NEET?” — The Question That Changed My Life
Until my 10th final exam, I didn’t even
know what NEET was.
One day, my Hindi teacher Munwar Basha Sir told me about it—about medical
colleges, the competition, the dream of becoming a doctor. Something clicked. I
became curious.
That night, I searched everything—Google, YouTube, and blogs—trying to
understand how to reach that dream. That’s when I found Aakash Institute and
watched the interview of Mrinal Kutteri, a NEET topper. His words inspired me
deeply.
I decided in that moment: I’ll join Aakash and I’ll become a doctor.
Aakash Came to My Town—A New Beginning
At first, there was no Aakash branch in my
town. I was ready to leave home and join a distant center. But as if destiny
wanted me to stay, a new Aakash branch opened in my town just in time.
I joined.
The first year went great—I studied well, scored decently, and felt confident.
But like every story, mine had a twist.
A Distraction Called “Love”
In my first year, I fell into what I now
realize was not love, but just emotional distraction. That one detour cost me
deeply.
My marks dropped—sometimes below 300–400 in internal exams. I started losing
focus, momentum, and belief. I wasn’t the same student anymore.
But thankfully, my second year became my turning point.
Realization, Redemption, and the Rise
I realized my mistake.
I reconnected with the dream. I began studying again with seriousness. But it
felt like it was already too late—board exams were just around the corner, and
NEET prep had barely begun.
Yet, I kept pushing.
After boards, I had just one month for NEET. Everyone said it wasn’t enough.
But I believed in myself.
I read Aakash modules day and night, attempted test series, revised what I
could, and gave my everything to those 30 days.
I scored 500 marks in NEET 2024.
It wasn’t enough to get into a good college. So, I made the boldest decision of
my life: I took a drop.
The Drop Year That Transformed Me
With full support from my parents, Aakash
teachers, and God’s grace, I gave everything to my second chance.
I entered Aakash’s Intensives Batch, known for serious, high-potential
students. Every single day, I studied not just questions—but concepts, mindset,
mistakes, and strategy.
From average student → to confident aspirant aiming for 650+.
NEET 2025 Exam Day: Toughest Paper, Strongest Mind
When I entered the exam hall, the paper was
brutal.
Many questions felt impossible within the time. But this time, I didn’t panic.
I did what I could, with calmness and clarity. Thanks to the test series,
Aakash mock papers, and my training—I held my ground.
My NEET 2025 Result: Rank 75542 | Category Rank 35000
I didn’t get a 650+… but I got something
equally valuable:
✅ A state medical college seat
✅ The respect of my parents
✅ The blessing of my late grandpa
✅ And the confidence that I can face anything in life
Who Made This Possible?
- My Father, who never gave up on my dream
- My Teachers at Aakash, who transformed my mindset
- My Mother, who silently supported me every single day
- My God, whose timing never failed
- And finally… me—the boy who went from clueless to courageous
Final Words to NEET Aspirants
To anyone reading this:
“Even if you’re from a small school… even if you start late… even if you fail
once — you can still make it. You just need one thing: belief.”
